About Torin

I am an artist, puppeteer, and passionate wilderness preservationist. A bit about my background, I am a gay transman. I recently graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology and Studio Art.

The main medium I’ve been working in recently has been soft sculpture, making puppets and fantasy landscapes. I also do a lot of drawing. I use a wide variety of materials in my art including linoleum printing, water colors, acrylic, Ink, ceramics, paper mache, knitting, needle felting, and many more.

My love of nature and empathy with non-human organisms is the most prevalent theme in my work. I also make art that talks about identity, queerness, mental illness and neurodivergency. Most of my art comes from a fantastical forest I made called Marrowood.
